How people are so quick to judge others...

by Me
(USA)

Everyday people are affected by the thoughts and choices of others. When you are a survivor you have to pick and choose who you can tell, and who is best to not know.

It really hurts when even your employer may feel that the best thing to do is shut you down rather than try to take the time to understand your personal traumas.

Your family doesn't take you serious enough, because they don't understnad the importance of their role in your relationship.

Your children know more than you think they do no matter how much you try to keep stuff from them.

Life just feels icky sometimes, is all.

Thanks.

Feeling Validated
by: Jenna

Thank you for sharing. It sounds like your support system's are very limited right now. I hope you reach out to advocates in your area for resources around this, and consider in person advocacy for any community help that may be available.

Ask your advocates, for a listening ear and any ideas and feedback around getting support. It is important that you have someone to talk to, so your not feeling so alone.

There may be a support group in your area that you can be connected to. The National DV hotline can get you in touch with your state and local agency. It is very important to be validated right now. Being validated makes a difference in your emotional well being..remember that this too shall pass.

Hugs,
Jenna
