Thank you, Maria

You have come along way, Maria, and I am so glad I have had the gift of meeting you personally. You have come a long way, and today you are a beautiful woman. You are a passionate woman, who I would love to work beside one day, on this site.

I look forward to seeing your future posts.
Your voices as survivor's is why this site is so important. As survivor's we can share with one another and help prevent, and plant seeds in other's from making similar mistakes.

Thank you for being you,
Jennasy

To Maria

I got involved in a relationship with the first guy I could too. It also turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life. I went from sexual abuse as a child to domestic violence. Our histories are so similiar.

Young, Vulnerable, Impressionable

I also share a similar experience to this, Maria. My mother left her door closed every night when I was a child and my step father had access to me. My mom was the type that when that door was closed you didn't dare wake her up. I just want to say Maria, that I am very thankful to you for sharing your experience, and to remind you your not alone.

As an adult survivor today, I understand that what happened in my childhood changed my brain chemistry forever. I think differently than others do. I don't know how to explain it to have it make sense, but as children the sexual abuse we have endured plays a significant role in how we value our relationships, and even how we experience intimacy in our lives. We were violated, and we pay the price.

Do we really know intimacy? Can we say that we have actually experienced healthy intimacy? I can not say that I have, and that is unfortunate. One day though, I am confident that I will.

I know I am not saying anything that is not already known, but it is important to value ourselves today for who we are because we are important.

I am glad to know that you found a great place to help you feel better, and be successful.
