Food and Children's Supplies

When leaving the abuse, it may be necessary to ask for help with food and children's supplies. This is enough to help get to the next location. These supplies are limited, but usually available through the agency, but can be helpful while maintaining focus on the road.

If able to plan ahead be sure to plan for this step. Plenty of food and kids supplies because the agencies are limited in what they have available.

Ask the advocate you are working with if they have any age appropriate books or toys for the children.

Ask if they have any reading material for you that can be read at a later time. I like to hand out the book called "Why does he do that?". Ask if they have anything available for you.

Find out which agency is closest to you, and ask for help when you are ready.
