The signs of abuse in any domestic violence relationship is a pattern of behavior used to establish power and control over another person through fear and intimidation, often including the threat or use of violence.

DO YOU:

1.) Avoid certain topics with your partner out of fear of the reaction you will recieve?

2.) Feel you can't do anything right for your partner?

3.) Believe that you deserve to be mistreated because of something you have done?

4.) Feel emotionally detached, numb, or helpless in your relationship?

DOES YOUR PARTNER:

1.) Humiliate or yell at you? Have you embarrassed to share with your family and/or friends? To the point you don't want them to see your partner's reactions?

2.) Does your partner put you down or ignore your opinions or accomplishments?

3.) Criticize you,and blame you for his behavior?

4.) Does your partner have a bad and unpredictable temper?

5.) Does your partner break your stuff?

6.) Threaten to hurt you, or to kill you?

7.) Act excessively jealous, and checks up on you? Controls where you go, and what you do?

8.) Limit your access to necessities such as the phone, money, car, and even family/friends?
